Last week began permanent roadway work along the southern half of Wayzata Boulevard between Martha Lane and Wolf Pointe Trail.
One of the activities was grading. Grading consists of making up base layers of gravel. These layers are critical structural elements of the roadway. They provide a stable foundation needed to support the new curbs and pavement.
This week, crews completed the grading work and made significant progress on other roadway components, such as installing new curbs and driveway aprons, throughout the shoreline area.
Crews will return next week to grade behind the curbs with black dirt and pave the first two layers of asphalt for the new roadway.
