Walking tour explores the history of Maple Plain

On Saturday, May 19, the Hennepin County Library-Maple Plain will host the first in a series of walking tours that will give people a chance to dive in to the unique history of a small town. Part local history lesson, part leisurely stroll, the event is part of Trails to Libraries, a campaign launched by Hennepin County Library to encourage outdoor exploration of Lake Minnetonka communities and the Dakota Rail Regional Trail, which follows the route of the former Dakota Rail Corridor through St. Bonifacius, Minnetrista, Mound, Spring Park, Minnetonka Beach, Orono and Wayzata.
