The first day of school is just around the corner, which means teaching professionals are preparing for their new students and the year ahead. It also means that Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment scores have been released and Westonka is taking looking back last year’s successes as well.
The district fared well this against state averages, as well as against other local districts.
Westonka’s fourth graders placed first in the state in reading, with an 83 percent proficiency rating, and placed second in the state for fifth grade reading and 11th grade math, with proficiency ratings of 87 percent and 74 percent, respectively.
