Notice of Public Hearings – CITY OF ORONO


The Orono Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Orono Council Chambers at 2780 Kelley Parkway on Monday, August 21, 2017, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on the matter of reviewing the following land use applications:

17-3949 Kevin Kretch, 3155 Casco Point Road, requests variances for construction of retaining walls and hardcover within the 75-foot setback.

17-3961 Irie Agency, 3465 Shoreline Drive, requests approval for a conditional use permit for a Class II restaurant in the B-1, Retail Sales Business District.

17-3962 Lake West Development, o/b/o Rick (Barbara) Lupient, 3508 Ivy Place, requests Preliminary Plat, easement vacation, and variance (hardcover in the 75 lake yard, side yard setback) approvals to consolidate 3 lots into two residential buildable lots and create one outlot for access.

17-3963 JHG properties LLC, 4035 Dahl Road, requests subdivision approval including a lot area variance to create two buildable lots where one 1.83 acre lot currently exists in the LR-1B, one-acre minimum lakeshore zoning district.

All persons wishing to be heard are encouraged to attend these meetings. This is not a final agenda and is subject to change prior to the hearings. Written comments are accepted and should be submitted to the City of Orono by August 15, 2017 if possible.
