Lifeguards back on duty at Wayzata Beach

Lifeguards are back on duty for the summer season at Wayzata Beach.

The lifeguards will be at the public beach noon to 6 p.m. daily through Aug. 13, weather permitting. The beach will not be guarded on any day that the air temperature is at or below 65 degrees Fahrenheit and remains so during regular hours. All public parks are closed for access between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Parking permits are needed at the beach for some parking spaces. Beach parking permits are free to residents and are available at city hall. A number of non-permit parking spaces are available at the back of the lot and along streets.
