Storms are expected to return to the Twin Cities area this weekend as humidity is expected to rise, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.
Dahl says there is a chance for showers and storms to return Friday afternoon, and may turn into severe weather later in the evening Friday. Because of the system’s speed, the storms have a chance to hang around into Saturday, according to Dahl.
According to the National Weather Service, the storms are expected to taper off Saturday evening.
The NWS expects temperatures to reach 85 degrees Friday, 90 degrees Saturday and 80 degrees Sunday.
The warm weather comes after a colder than average month of May.
