Late last week, Minnetrista police arrested a man who they believe is behind a number of home burglaries in St. Bonifacius. Minnetrista Public Safety reported that there four burglaries and two attempted burglaries over the last month.
Chief Paul Falls said that the suspect would knock on doors or ring a doorbell to see if the homeowners were in their homes.
“This was rather odd,” Falls said. “He’d check to see if they were home before deciding if he wanted to try and rob them.”
Minnetrista police said in a press release that the suspect had made “incriminating statements” linking himself to the crimes. Officers searched a car and home, finding a number of stolen items, some of which are still be sorted through. That suspect is being held at Hennepin County Adult Detention Facility.
